Schweiger Estate Merlot

This Merlot has that intense mountain grape quality with a layered tannin backbone. This particular vintage is 100% varietal to showcase the layered black fruits you expect from a high elevation Merlot like blackberries and cherries with dark chocolate but laced with the usual Schweiger Merlot notes of pomegranate blueberry and boysenberry. Blue cheese creations will always win with this Merlot but the darker saltiness of chicken tikka masala sauted shiitake mushrooms or a juicy gorgonzola burger would be delicious too.
