Textbook Chardonnay – Napa Valley

100% Chardonnay (Clones 4 17 95; 60% from Carneros and 40% from Yountville) hand-picked whole cluster pressed settled and then fermented and aged 10 months 80% in temperature-controlled stainless tanks and 20% in new French barrels with regular lees stirring. 40% of the blend went through malo-lactic fermentation. Green straw color with well formed legs; dry medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium phenolics.Riper more classically California style with spice and oak. Soft but balanced with ripe citrus and fruit cocktail. Easy drinking and easy to like in a more classically California style. BearScore: 91.
